Lead – Circular Economy

WSP, a globally recognized engineering and professional services firm, is seeking a Lead – Circular Economy to join their Dubai-based team in a hybrid, full-time role. This position presents a unique opportunity to lead the development and implementation of circular economy strategies that promote sustainable practices across industries.

The Circular Economy Lead will play a crucial role in reducing waste, optimizing resource use, and maximizing lifecycle value of materials and products. The successful candidate will be a forward-thinking sustainability professional who can work across departments to embed circular economy principles into core operations. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone passionate about shaping a more sustainable future.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement WSP’s regional circular economy strategy

  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste and promote material efficiency across business units

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to integrate circular principles into ongoing projects and proposals

  • Lead workshops, training sessions, and presentations to promote circular economy awareness

  • Advise clients on circular design strategies, waste minimization, and resource recovery

  • Monitor and report on progress toward circular economy KPIs and sustainability objectives

  • Stay informed about global best practices, regulatory developments, and innovations in circular economy models

  • Contribute to business development by supporting bids and proposals with circular economy solutions


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field

  • Proven experience in circular economy, waste management, or sustainability strategy development

  • Strong leadership and project management skills

  • Ability to engage with multidisciplinary teams and drive cross-functional initiatives

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Familiarity with lifecycle assessment (LCA), materials flow analysis, and circularity metrics

  • Passion for environmental impact, innovation, and long-term sustainability
