Honeywell is looking for a Lead Chemical Engineer based in Abu Dhabi to manage key customer accounts primarily in the UAE and Oman. This full-time, on-site role demands strong technical expertise in refining, petrochemicals, or gas industries, combined with customer relationship management skills and P&L responsibility. The Lead Chemical Engineer will oversee service delivery, build lasting customer relationships, and coordinate troubleshooting and start-up activities to meet processing goals and financial targets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer personnel across multiple organizational levels

• Gain in-depth knowledge of customer refinery/plant configurations, goals, and strategies

• Manage troubleshooting efforts in collaboration with technical service teams to ensure timely and effective support

• Support new unit start-ups and catalyst reload activities, coordinating scope and schedules with UOP site support

• Identify applications of Honeywell products and services to meet customer processing goals

• Drive service and digital offerings to achieve financial targets

• Oversee customer service interactions, draft and finalize service agreements in cooperation with legal teams

• Collaborate with UOP CSO counterparts to share customer insights, develop strategies for business growth and retention

• Assist with receivables collection and maintain detailed customer account plans and reports

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering

• 12-15 years’ experience in refining, petrochemicals, or gas industries, preferably with technical and sales exposure

• Strong knowledge of reforming and gas processing technologies preferred

• Proven ability to manage and influence diverse teams and collaborate across business units

• Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective negotiation and collaboration
