Job Title: Lead Architect

Job Description:

We are collaborating with a prestigious, award-winning architectural practice in Dubai, renowned for delivering high-quality projects across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Our client is seeking a Lead Architect to oversee a portfolio of exciting and dynamic projects, from concept design through to site execution. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, be capable of managing project teams independently, and ensure the practice’s overall performance is consistently improved.

As a Lead Architect, you will play a crucial role in managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, working closely with the Associates and Managing Partner to support operational efficiency and enhance client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

🔑 Project Leadership: Collaborate with the concept department to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget. Develop cost/time charts based on project requirements, resources, and timelines.
💬 Client & Consultant Liaison: Maintain clear communication with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors, ensuring deliverables, scopes, and timelines are agreed upon and adhered to.
📈 Project Coordination: Oversee the coordination of sub-consultants and Senior Architects to produce deliverables for each project stage.
🏛️ Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs are compliant with local authorities and obtain necessary client approvals.
💼 Contract Management: Manage value engineering, ensure compliance with consultancy agreements, and oversee tender reviews for technical compliance.
📝 Design Oversight: Supervise the detailed design packages and resolve outstanding issues. Ensure all submitted information is accurate and up-to-date.
📜 Documentation & Specification: Write specifications with support from Senior Architects, and ensure contract documentation is signed and handled smoothly.
👥 Team Collaboration & Communication: Regularly communicate with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, suppliers, and statutory authorities, ensuring that objectives are met throughout the project lifecycle.
⚖️ Leadership: Administer FIDC contracts and establish objectives for senior architectural staff while promoting team development and cohesion.

What We’re Looking For:

🎓 Education: Professional Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
🖊️ Licensing: Registered with an architectural board.
📅 Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in architecture, with at least 3 years in a similar leadership role within the UAE or Saudi Arabia.
💡 Skills: Creative thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities, strong technical skills, and proficiency in Revit.
🌍 Knowledge: Deep understanding of zoning regulations and building codes.
🗣️ Communication: Fluent in English, with strong presentation and client management skills.
