Al Mawafjah Engineering & Turning, located in Sharjah, is seeking a skilled Lathe Operator to join their manufacturing team on a full-time, on-site basis. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in operating lathe and milling machines, as well as interpreting technical and engineering drawings.

As a Lathe Operator, you will play a crucial role in precision machining, ensuring components meet detailed specifications and high-quality standards. You will also be involved in routine machine maintenance and supporting the setup of additional machinery as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up lathe machines to manufacture mechanical components

• Interpret technical and engineering drawings to execute accurate machining

• Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain quality and precision

• Prepare and set up milling machines as required

• Perform regular maintenance and upkeep of lathe and milling machines

• Maintain safety standards and follow operational protocols

• Work independently and contribute to a productive, high-quality shop floor environment

Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Proven experience operating lathe and milling machines

• Strong understanding of technical and engineering drawings

• Familiarity with machine maintenance and safety procedures

• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision

• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

• Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus
