RAKEZ is seeking a Land Surveyor to conduct surveys, oversee survey assistants, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. The role involves managing survey teams, conducting topographic surveys, and providing accurate data for construction projects. This position requires a skilled professional with expertise in surveying practices and instruments, as well as fluency in Arabic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and direct survey parties to determine precise data for demarcation of plots and setting reference points.

• Conduct topographic surveys to map contours and existing features of the ground.

• Review data from photogrammetric records to provide reliable spatial information.

• Ensure the correctness of plot locations and demarcation according to statutory requirements.

• Estimate earthwork quantities for cost-saving measures in RAKEZ development projects.

• Supervise construction projects, ensuring the accuracy of survey work and compliance with project scope.

• Monitor junior staff and external survey parties to ensure task correctness.

• Review utilities routing plans and advise on permits.

• Manage and maintain survey instruments, ensuring timely calibration and safekeeping.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in surveying, construction, or related field.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years as a lead surveyor in the UAE.

• Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of survey techniques and field survey engineering methods.

  • Proficiency with survey instruments (e.g., Total Station, GPS) and CAD software (AutoCAD).

  • Strong understanding of local surveying principles and regulations.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).

  • Valid UAE driver’s license.

  • Ability to work in extreme environments and physically demanding conditions.

  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with digital tools and applications.

  • Experience in organizing and maintaining survey documentation.

Work Environment:

• On-site, full-time role involving significant time spent on RAKEZ assets and in various outdoor conditions.
