HELENE MENA is establishing a state-of-the-art Stem Cell Processing Laboratory (CPC) in Abu Dhabi, focusing on regenerative medicine and advanced cell therapy research. The laboratory is aligned with DOH regulations and international GMP standards, collaborating with global research teams, including partners in Japan.

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Director to oversee laboratory operations, compliance, and scientific excellence. This leadership role ensures regulatory adherence, manages laboratory staff, and supports research, clinical trials, and international collaborations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and medical oversight for the Stem Cell Laboratory.

• Ensure compliance with DOH licensure and international GMP/GCP standards.

• Supervise laboratory staff including cell culturists, QC/QA officers, and technicians.

• Oversee stem cell sample processing, validation, and quality systems.

• Maintain readiness for inspections, audits, and regulatory approvals (DOH, FDA in future).

• Collaborate with international research and clinical teams in Japan and UAE.

• Support scientific publications, training programs, and clinical trial readiness.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Medical Doctor (MD/MBBS) with specialization in Pathology (Clinical/Anatomic/Hematopathology or equivalent).

• Eligible for DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant Pathologist License.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in pathology and laboratory leadership, preferably in cell therapy, regenerative medicine, or hematology.

• Strong knowledge of CPC/cleanroom standards and stem cell handling protocols.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

• Proficiency in English required; Arabic or Japanese is an advantage.
