The Higher Colleges of Technology is seeking a hands-on Laboratory Assistant to support faculty and students within the Health Sciences programs. This role involves maintaining the college’s laboratories and workshops by installing, demonstrating, and troubleshooting equipment and facilities. The Laboratory Assistant works closely with faculty and students in both labs and simulation labs, preparing setups for experiments, managing supplies, and ensuring all documentation is accurately maintained. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks to ensure smooth lab operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support faculty and students in laboratory and simulation lab environments

• Prepare and set up lab equipment and experiments

• Maintain laboratory supplies and equipment inventory

• Troubleshoot and repair laboratory tools and devices as needed

• Document laboratory activities, maintenance, and usage records

• Ensure a safe and clean laboratory environment

Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in a laboratory environment (preferred)

• Strong technical aptitude with lab equipment

• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and students

• Good organizational and documentation skills
