The Kitchen Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment and appliances to ensure smooth and safe kitchen operations. This includes routine preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, parts inventory management, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The role supports hotel operations by ensuring kitchen systems function efficiently at all times.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment (ovens, dishwashers, stoves, etc.)

• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen machinery efficiently to minimize downtime

• Log daily tasks, report progress, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activity

• Handle emergency work orders and prioritize tasks as directed by the Engineering Supervisor

• Ensure spare parts inventory is maintained and coordinate procurement when needed

• Enforce safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures for all electrical equipment

• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and repair zones after task completion

• Support kitchen staff with equipment training and troubleshooting

• Coordinate with engineering teams and other departments to ensure seamless operations

• Follow hotel protocols, etiquette, and uphold Rosewood service standards

✅ Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year as an engineering technician in a 5-star hotel environment

• Education: High school diploma; trade certification preferred

• Skills: Strong technical knowledge of kitchen appliances; organized; safety-focused

• Language: Proficient in English (written and spoken)

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, stay mobile, and perform physically demanding tasks

• Soft Skills: Team-oriented, calm under pressure, guest service-focused
