Marriott International’s The Dubai EDITION hotel is seeking a reliable and skilled Kitchen & Laundry Technician to join their engineering and facilities team. This full-time, on-site role focuses on maintaining and repairing kitchen and mechanical room equipment, ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction. The technician will respond promptly to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and handle various technical tasks related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate effectively to resolve maintenance issues.

• Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen tools, mechanical room equipment, and general hotel facilities including cleaning and lubrication.

• Conduct visual inspections and troubleshoot equipment such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical components, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, and kitchen machinery.

• Carry out minor repairs such as painting, drywall patching, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and cosmetic fixes.

• Test and repair plumbing fixtures, electrical switches, vacuum cleaners, and other guestroom items.

• Operate shut-off valves and utility controls safely using Lockout/Tagout procedures.

• Assist with interior and exterior landscaping repairs and sprinkler maintenance.

• Maintain maintenance inventory, order parts and supplies, and document daily activities and problems.

• Follow all safety, security policies, and company standards while maintaining a clean and professional appearance.

• Support guest services by acknowledging guests and assisting individuals with disabilities.

• Perform physical tasks involving lifting, carrying, bending, and climbing as needed.

• Use basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities and adjusting HVAC controls.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.

• Some experience in general maintenance, painting, or hotel engineering preferred.

• Valid Driver’s License required.

• Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols.

• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.

• Ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds.

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
