Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team in the UAE. This role is essential in supporting the kitchen’s daily operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring all kitchen tools and spaces meet hygiene and safety standards. Ideal candidates will be team-oriented, energetic, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support chefs with basic food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling dishes, and preparing salads

• Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment in accordance with hygiene regulations

• Wash dishes and kitchen tools manually or using dishwashing machines

• Maintain inventory of food supplies and kitchen items; restock as needed

• Properly dispose of waste and recyclables following standard procedures

• Assist in plating and garnishing dishes for service

• Follow food safety and handling procedures to ensure high-quality standards

• Keep kitchen floors and surfaces clean and clutter-free at all times

• Comply with company policies and safety protocols

• Work cooperatively with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation

Skills & Requirements:

• Prior kitchen or restaurant experience is a plus, but not mandatory

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment

• High attention to cleanliness, detail, and safety

• Good teamwork and communication skills

• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long hours

• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays

• Basic understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene is preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent is advantageous
