Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations. This role requires a solid foundation in accounting principles, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to manage core accounting tasks such as invoicing, reconciliations, and expense tracking. The ideal candidate will also assist in VAT filing processes and provide administrative support across various finance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and process invoices, receipts, payments, and employee expense reports

• Track and manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) efficiently

• Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies

• Update and maintain General Ledger (GL) entries and journals

• Assist in preparing VAT returns in compliance with UAE FTA regulations

• Monitor and manage petty cash and ensure proper documentation

• Support budgeting processes and assist in calculating financial variances

• Collaborate with departments for data collection and report generation

Required Skills & Tools:

• Solid understanding of accounting principles: debits, credits, GL, AP/AR

• Advanced Excel skills: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS

• Experience with accounting software; Zoho Books is a plus

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

• Ability to create and analyze financial reports and balance sheets

• Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal teams

Preferred Candidate:

• Experience: 1–3 years in an accounting or finance role

• Location: United Arab Emirates

• Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, Zoho (preferred)

• Career Level: Entry to Mid-Level
