Prometheus Capital Finance Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join its finance team. This role will provide comprehensive support across all accounting and bookkeeping functions, reporting directly to the Finance Officer (FO). This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career finance professional looking to develop their expertise in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and accounting records for company and group entities

• Process journal entries and bank transactions

• Track and report budget vs. actual performance, highlighting variances

• Assist in budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and funding analysis

• Prepare client invoices, manage accounts payable and verify payments

• Ensure supporting documentation for all financial transactions

• Monitor and reconcile clearing agent accounts and bank statements

• Maintain and reconcile petty cash and cash in hand

• Assist in preparing regulatory returns, MIS reports, and audit documentation

• Help compile VAT and tax returns, fixed asset register, and depreciation schedules

• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports and provide support for internal and external audits

Requirements

• Recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Strong academic record and eagerness to learn

• High level of attention to detail and organization

• Excellent understanding of accounting principles (knowledge of IFRS is a plus)

• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel

• Ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
