UOWD is hiring an Internship Coordinator to lead its internship placement program and support student career readiness through mentorship, industry partnerships, and organized internship opportunities. This full-time, on-site role supports students from application to placement, while enhancing industry engagement and data tracking across the university’s career services.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate the university’s internship program.

Align internship placements with academic goals and student career aspirations.

Build and maintain partnerships with industry professionals and organizations.

Match students with relevant internships and provide guidance throughout the placement process.

Collaborate with academic departments to promote internship opportunities.
-
Conduct workshops and sessions to prepare students for the workplace.
-
Monitor student progress and gather employer feedback.
-
Manage and maintain the Career Services System.

Organize events to support student employability and career development.
-
Maintain accurate internship records and analyze placement outcomes.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Human Resources, or a related field.

Career advising certification is a plus.
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years in career services, student placement coordination, or internship management.

Proven ability to build and manage relationships with industry partners.
-
Background in student advising, career coaching, or similar roles is highly desirable.

Strong organizational and project management abilities.

Proficiency in data management and reporting tools.

Ability to engage and mentor diverse student groups.
