Hermès is offering an internship opportunity for a Business Analyst Assistant in their Perfume & Beauty division. This role involves providing the management team with essential business reporting, analyzing sales and financial performance, and contributing to financial planning and analysis. The intern will assist in gathering sell-out data, developing detailed reports, monitoring sales, and supporting the annual budget process. The role requires proficiency in Power BI, advanced Excel skills, and a strong understanding of business development. The ideal candidate should have a background in business, with a keen interest in finance and analytics.
Responsibilities:

Collect and analyze sell-out data from distributors

Use Power BI to implement KPIs, graphs, and dashboards for data visualization

Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks

Develop detailed financial reports and provide insightful analysis and recommendations

Assist in improving management processes and business control efficiency

Prepare monthly reports, including closing notes, to track financial performance

Analyze variances between actual performance and budgeted figures

Collaborate with the Finance Manager on the budget process and annual pricing adjustments

Benchmark and monitor competitor pricing strategies to inform decisions
Skills Required:
-
A degree from a Business School or equivalent, with a focus on finance

Ideally, a successful 6-month internship or experience in a similar role

Fluent in English (spoken & written); French is a plus

Proficiency in Excel (advanced knowledge of MS Office)

Experience with ERP, Item Management Systems, and Online Databases (BI)

Strong knowledge of Power BI, including expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

Proactive, results-driven, and a good team player with strong time management skills

Ability to work under deadlines with a focus on delivering quality results
