Interchange Stations Inspector – U/G

AtkinsRéalis, a global leader in engineering and infrastructure, is hiring an Underground Interchange Stations Inspector in Dubai. This role involves performing detailed inspections of underground interchange stations to ensure operational safety, compliance, and efficiency. You will coordinate with station managers, maintenance crews, and safety teams to address issues and support emergency readiness.

This is a full-time position with a 60-hour workweek, suitable for candidates who thrive in physically demanding and safety-critical environments.


Key Responsibilities:

Inspection & Monitoring

  • Perform regular inspections of platforms, tunnels, lifts, escalators, ventilation systems, and station facilities

  • Ensure infrastructure meets all operational and safety standards

Incident Reporting & Resolution

  • Identify hazards or irregularities and report them

  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to resolve safety and maintenance issues

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure full compliance with local safety regulations and company policies

  • Maintain inspection logs, incident records, and prepare comprehensive reports

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work with station managers, engineering teams, and safety officers

  • Attend operational meetings and provide actionable insights

Emergency Preparedness

  • Support emergency drills and incident response protocols

  • Provide on-site assistance during emergencies


Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Management, or a related field

Experience:

  • Minimum 2–3 years in station inspection, infrastructure monitoring, or underground transit operations

  • Experience with underground transportation systems is a plus

Skills:

  • Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in inspection tools and digital reporting software

  • Effective communication and reporting abilities

  • Physically fit to work in confined, underground environments

  • Comfortable with rotational shifts including weekends/holidays


Work Environment:

  • Predominantly based in underground stations

  • Exposure to heat, noise, and enclosed spaces

  • Rotational shifts (day/night/weekend)
