Insurance Specialist – Employee Benefits

Howden, a leading global insurance brokerage, is seeking an experienced Insurance Specialist – Employee Benefits to join their growing team in Abu Dhabi. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for a dynamic professional with deep knowledge of employee benefits solutions, excellent client management skills, and a commitment to delivering best-in-class service.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, negotiating, and managing tailored medical and employee benefits insurance plans that meet client needs and support long-term satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers and underwriters to ensure service quality and compliance.

  • Collaborate internally and externally to design and implement customized medical insurance and employee benefits programs.

  • Conduct client risk assessments and market reviews to tailor insurance solutions accordingly.

  • Oversee policy placement, negotiating competitive terms with insurers.

  • Maintain accurate records and trackers of client placement and invoicing data.

  • Ensure smooth onboarding experiences for new clients.

  • Prepare renewal proposals and new business presentations.

  • Manage policy renewals, upgrades, and adjustments, ensuring coverage remains competitive and compliant.

  • Perform client account reconciliations and invoice tracking on a quarterly/semi-annual basis.

  • Guide clients through the full insurance lifecycle—from enrollment to policy issuance and invoicing.

  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high satisfaction and retention.

  • Keep updated with market trends, regulatory developments, and insurance best practices.

  • Comply with internal policies, procedures, and all regulatory requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in employee benefits insurance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.

  • In-depth knowledge of UAE employee benefits products, market trends, and regulatory framework.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational abilities.
