Aldar Education is seeking an experienced and passionate Inclusion Assistant to join the team at Mubarak Bin Mohammed Charter School (MBMCS) in Abu Dhabi, starting in June 2025. The Inclusion Assistant will work closely with homeroom and subject teachers to support students with special educational needs (SEN), enabling them to fully participate in classroom and school activities. The role requires strong collaboration, communication, and empathy to help students overcome academic, social, and behavioral challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Main Duties:

Provide individual and group support to pupils within and outside the classroom.

Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and link activities to student-specific goals.

Assist students with academic, physical, emotional, and behavioral challenges to help develop communication and social skills.
-
Maintain accurate student records and prepare resources for differentiated learning.

Promote independence and meaningful learning strategies among students.
-
Support school policies, including health and safety, dress code, and attendance standards.

Collaborate with professionals such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other external specialists.

Actively participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and student-centered activities.

Provide support during extracurricular activities, trips, and events.

Mentor new Inclusion Assistants when needed and participate in mentoring programs.
Specific Duties:

Respect confidentiality and defer formal communication with parents to teaching staff.

Provide academic support, including individual instruction and small group facilitation.

Monitor, assess, and provide feedback on student progress to teachers.

Support behavior management practices in line with school policy.
-
Prepare materials that scaffold learning and enhance curriculum accessibility.

Support therapy interventions (SLT, OT, ABA) to reinforce and generalize key skills.

Contribute to positive behavior reinforcement and development of self-esteem.
Qualifications:

Minimum: Diploma in Special Educational Needs (SEN)

SEN qualification required
Minimum Experience:
-
At least 2 years of experience working with students with special educational needs
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in SEN roles
