Job Title: ICU Staff Nurse
Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled ICU Staff Nurse to provide direct patient care in our Critical Care Unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive, high-quality nursing care while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team. Your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities will play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients in critical care.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct patient care to those admitted to the ICU using nursing protocols and the scientific process of nursing.

Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care is effective and efficient.

Demonstrate leadership by taking charge of the unit when required and assisting in staff meetings and hospital committees.

Coordinate and plan patient care, ensuring individual needs are prioritized and care plans are adjusted as necessary.

Provide thorough and accurate documentation of patient care and progress.

Take responsibility for infection control practices, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Manage narcotic and controlled drug administration in line with hospital guidelines.

Share knowledge and assist in the education and development of colleagues.

Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities and contribute to improving patient care processes.

Provide emotional and educational support to patients and their families, offering appropriate guidance and care based on patient needs.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (minimum of 3 years of nursing education).

Current nursing license with BCLS certification (ACLS certification to be achieved within 6 months of employment).

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in critical care nursing.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a healthcare team.

Ability to provide compassionate care to critically ill patients and their families.

Familiarity with infection control standards and patient safety protocols.
