Bureau Veritas North America is seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across construction and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on developing and implementing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, providing training, and monitoring performance to protect employees, stakeholders, and the environment. The ideal candidate has a strong technical understanding of occupational health, environmental management, process safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures.

• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and process safety analyses.

• Provide HSE training and education to employees and stakeholders.

• Monitor, report, and continuously improve HSE performance.

• Ensure compliance with international standards, local regulations, and Bureau Veritas HSE policies.

• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of HSE incidents, near-misses, and audits.

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

• Stop work immediately if unsafe conditions are identified and report to management.

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Management, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an HSE specialist or in a similar role.

• Training/awareness in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, NEBOSH, OSHA, and other international standards.

• Expertise in workplace hazards, PPE usage, environmental monitoring, and hazardous materials management.

• Strong analytical, reporting, and technical communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate across teams and provide HSE guidance effectively.

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, process safety, and environmental impact mitigation.
