About Job in Brief:
SEGULA Technologies, a global engineering group, is hiring a HSE Officer for an 8-month contract based at Al Maktoum Airport, Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies in compliance with the project HSE management plan, Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) or Dubai Aviation Regulation (DAR) standards, and applicable laws and regulations.

As part of a multinational team in a high-stakes airport environment, the HSE Officer will play a critical role in ensuring safety measures are executed effectively across the construction site, warehouses, and other project facilities. This position reports to the Project HSE Manager and requires on-site presence throughout the project duration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the project HSE management plan and ensure its ongoing coordination and monitoring.

• Support deployment of all HSE controls during on-site activities, including safety training and inspections.

• Deliver safety inductions and awareness sessions to staff, contractors, and visitors.

• Coordinate first-aid equipment availability, maintenance, and emergency preparedness.

• Monitor compliance with legal and regulatory standards, project-specific HSE requirements, and client expectations.

• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments including working at heights, hazardous substances, PPE compliance, and environmental risks.

• Maintain proper logs for safety equipment, electrical tools, ladders, etc.

• Respond to emergencies and participate in a duty-alert system for after-hours incidents.

• Monitor exposure to hazardous materials and ensure employee safety.

• Collect and evaluate HSE performance metrics and provide improvement recommendations.

• Investigate and report incidents including injuries, property damage, and equipment malfunctions.

• Collaborate with subcontractors and project staff on HSE best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as an HSE Officer on large construction or installation projects, preferably within the GCC.

• Previous experience on airport-related projects highly preferred.

• Degree holder with NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent.

• Proficiency in HSE standards including ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.

• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages such as Arabic, French, Hindi, or Urdu is an asset.

• Strong communication and training abilities with excellent organizational skills.

• UAE driving license (must be approved by Dubai Airport Authority).

• Proven skills in audit and compliance assessments, safety risk evaluation, and accident investigation.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strict regulatory compliance.
