AtkinsRéalis is looking for an experienced HSE Officer to join their team in Abu Dhabi. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for implementing and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance in line with local legislation and company standards. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of HSE experience, including at least 5 years within the UAE, and hold NEBOSH and ISO 45001 certifications.

This role is crucial to ensuring safe site operations across infrastructure and building construction projects. The HSE Officer will engage in training, inspections, documentation, compliance enforcement, and incident investigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor AtkinsRéalis internal HSE management system.

• Ensure team compliance with project and regulatory HSE standards.

• Conduct HSE site tours and inspections with contractors.

• Raise and track Safety Enforcement Notices (SEN) and verify compliance.

• Deliver regular HSE training sessions to site staff.

• Investigate accidents/incidents and compile safety reports and statistics.

• Lead weekly safety meetings and maintain comprehensive HSE documentation.

• Review contractor HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements.

• Report major safety issues to HSE Manager and participate in decision-making.

Qualifications:

• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).

• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification.

• 8+ years of experience in HSE roles, with a minimum of 5 years in the UAE.

• Strong understanding of DM and ADOSH regulations.

• Experience in building and infrastructure construction projects.

Preferred Skills:

• Fluency in both English and Arabic.

• Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

• Proactive approach to safety, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

• Proficient in compiling detailed reports, statistics, and safety registers.

Job Requirements:

• Must currently reside in the UAE.

• Available for face-to-face interviews with clients in Abu Dhabi.
