We are seeking a qualified HSE Engineer to lead and implement health, safety, and environmental practices across construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe working environment, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems in line with local and international standards
• Conduct risk assessments and identify workplace hazards, ensuring effective mitigation measures
• Collaborate with project managers to create and maintain project-specific safety plans
• Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommend preventive measures
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance activities
• Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to HSE requirements
• Stay updated on industry best practices and evolving safety regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the construction industry
• NEBOSH certification and SAAS approval required
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of UAE and international HSE regulations and standards
• Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant safety management tools
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
