About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSE Engineer to join a leading construction team in Dubai.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across construction sites. This role plays a critical part in promoting a strong safety culture while ensuring full adherence to UAE regulations and international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

HSE Policy & Compliance

• Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies in line with company standards and UAE regulations

• Monitor compliance with HSE laws, construction standards, and company procedures

• Ensure all employees and subcontractors adhere to safety requirements

Site Inspections & Risk Management

• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits

• Perform detailed risk assessments and hazard identification

• Implement corrective and preventive measures promptly

Incident Investigation & Reporting

• Lead investigations into accidents and near-miss incidents

• Prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis

• Recommend and implement preventive action plans

Training & Awareness

• Conduct HSE training sessions and toolbox talks

• Promote safety awareness programs to strengthen on-site safety culture

• Engage teams in continuous improvement initiatives

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and compliance documentation

• Stay updated on new HSE legislation and best practices

• Support continuous improvement in safety performance metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an HSE Engineer in the construction industry

• UAE or GCC construction experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction safety standards

• Proven experience conducting risk assessments and safety audits

• Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE qualification (highly desirable)

• Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management systems

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage

• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
