Position: Horticulture Engineer (Mangroves)

Job Overview:
A leading multinational design & architectural consultancy is hiring an experienced Horticulture Engineer to lead marine landscape & restoration projects in Dubai & the wider MENA region. The ideal candidate will specialize in mangrove restoration, coastal habitat development, and marine flora conservation, contributing to major masterplan & environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Horticulture & Restoration Management:

Develop & implement mangrove restoration & conservation plans.

Conduct soil analysis, plant health assessments, & irrigation system design.
-
Oversee plant propagation, cultivation, & disease management.
-
Design and implement aesthetic & functional marine landscapes.
-
Maintain accurate records of plant growth, treatments, & maintenance.
Site Supervision & Maintenance Planning:
-
Create & execute weekly/monthly maintenance schedules for marine & coastal habitats.

Monitor routine maintenance, manage reported deficiencies, & ensure high-quality standards.
-
Control manpower, machinery, & material resources for optimum project efficiency.
-
Manage relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, & team members.
Project Coordination & Reporting:
-
Prepare condition surveys, incident reports, & project documentation.

Oversee the design coordination process and manage stakeholders & consultants.
-
Educate staff & communities on marine horticulture best practices.
Desired Candidate Profile:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, or Landscape Architecture.
-
10-12+ years of experience in marine horticulture & mangrove restoration projects.

Expertise in UAE marine & coastal flora.
-
Proven ability to manage stakeholders, consultants, & restoration projects.

Strong communication, leadership, & site supervision skills.
