Noya British School, a proud member of the esteemed Aldar Education network, is seeking an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for the Academic Year 2025–2026, starting in August 2025. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with School Staff:

• Contribute to the school’s vision, strategic goals, and performance targets.

• Follow all health and safety, equal opportunity, and safe working practice policies.

• Participate in annual performance management and required training sessions.

• Follow the school’s dress code and security protocols (e.g., wearing ID/lanyard).

• Comply with IT Acceptable Use Policies.

• Attend all staff briefings and sign in/out during off-site duties.

Working with Students:

• Support students with Additional Educational Needs (AEN)/Special Educational Needs (SEN).

• Facilitate access to lesson content through clarification, explanation, and materials.

• Build respectful, supportive relationships with students.

• Encourage independent learning and help with physical and academic needs.

• Enhance students’ motivation, organization, and study skills.

• Foster student confidence and self-esteem.

• Maintain communication with parents on student progress.

Working with Teachers:

• Hold regular meetings regarding lesson planning and learning goals.

• Assist in preparing resources and differentiated learning activities.

• Supervise practical tasks and record student progress.

• Implement teaching techniques aligned with the teacher’s guidance.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: A two-year diploma/degree in education or special needs education, or a high school diploma with specialized training in special education.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant educational support role.

• Skills:

  • Excellent English communication (written and spoken)

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset

  • Ability to pass a clean police or enhanced DBS check
