Noya British School, a proud member of the esteemed Aldar Education network, is seeking an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for the Academic Year 2025–2026, starting in August 2025. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities:
Working with School Staff:

Contribute to the school’s vision, strategic goals, and performance targets.

Follow all health and safety, equal opportunity, and safe working practice policies.

Participate in annual performance management and required training sessions.
-
Follow the school’s dress code and security protocols (e.g., wearing ID/lanyard).
-
Comply with IT Acceptable Use Policies.
-
Attend all staff briefings and sign in/out during off-site duties.
Working with Students:
-
Support students with Additional Educational Needs (AEN)/Special Educational Needs (SEN).
-
Facilitate access to lesson content through clarification, explanation, and materials.
-
Build respectful, supportive relationships with students.
-
Encourage independent learning and help with physical and academic needs.
-
Enhance students’ motivation, organization, and study skills.
-
Foster student confidence and self-esteem.
-
Maintain communication with parents on student progress.
Working with Teachers:
-
Hold regular meetings regarding lesson planning and learning goals.
-
Assist in preparing resources and differentiated learning activities.
-
Supervise practical tasks and record student progress.
-
Implement teaching techniques aligned with the teacher’s guidance.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
-
Education: A two-year diploma/degree in education or special needs education, or a high school diploma with specialized training in special education.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant educational support role.

Skills:

Excellent English communication (written and spoken)

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

A proactive, problem-solving mindset

Ability to pass a clean police or enhanced DBS check
