Nord Anglia International School Abu Dhabi is hiring a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support classroom learning from Early Years to Year 13. As part of the world’s largest premium international schools group, Nord Anglia, the role involves working closely with teachers to support student development individually, in small groups, and in full classroom settings. The position starts in mid-August 2025 and is based at the school’s new campus on Al Reem Island.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students individually, in small groups, or whole classes under teacher supervision.

• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.

• Assist with planning and preparing intervention resources.

• Provide support and mentoring for other teaching assistants.

• Help organize and allocate educational resources.

• Collaborate with year leaders on break/lunch duty schedules.

• Contribute to inclusion efforts, particularly with EAL and SEN students.

• Assist with new student transitions and school-wide activities.

• Participate in TA training sessions and plan resources for EAP (English for Academic Purposes) activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a high school diploma.

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

• Strong understanding of teaching best practices.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Collaborative mindset with excellent organizational skills.

• Intercultural awareness and international experience.

• Familiarity with the British curriculum (preferred).

• Experience with EAL (English as an Additional Language) and SEN (Special Educational Needs) students.

Additional Details:

• Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred.
