The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is hiring a Heavy Vehicle Inspector (UAE National) to monitor and inspect heavy vehicles for compliance with technical and safety standards. This full-time, on-site role in Dubai is part of the Licensing Activities Monitoring Department and requires field inspections, surveillance monitoring, and enforcement of traffic regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections of heavy vehicles during restriction hours
• Report violations related to safety and RTA property protection
• Monitor surveillance cameras and electronic systems in the smart control center
• Issue violations based on surveillance findings
• Inspect advertising permits, stickers, and health & safety compliance
• Perform weekly inspection visits and report findings
• Ensure vehicles meet traffic rule requirements, including:
  • Vehicle condition
  • Number plates
  • Tire condition
  • Weight limits
  • Lighting systems
• Maintain data tracking for violations and field inspections
• Ensure surveillance systems are functional and properly monitored
• Adhere to RTA Information Security policies and report incidents

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• High school diploma
• 0-2 years of experience in a relevant field
• Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage)
• Strong knowledge of light and heavy vehicle parts and motorcycle mechanisms
• Basic computer literacy for reporting and tracking
• Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure
• Team player with excellent relationship-building skills
• Good listening and communication skills
