Healthcare Contracting Specialist – EB

Job Purpose:
The Healthcare Contracting Specialist – EB will support the negotiation and management of direct billing contracts and price lists with healthcare providers. The role also involves analyzing provider claims and utilization data to inform strategic decisions, optimize performance, and enhance cost-effectiveness across the healthcare provider network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provider Negotiations:

    • Assist in negotiating and maintaining provider contracts that align with business objectives.

    • Monitor contract performance and address compliance issues.

  • Data Analysis:

    • Leverage data analytics to evaluate provider performance and cost trends.

    • Prepare comprehensive reports on network utilization and contract effectiveness.

  • Cost Containment:

    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement and monitor cost-containment initiatives.

  • Provider Inclusion:

    • Coordinate the onboarding of new healthcare providers into the network.

    • Evaluate provider suitability and maintain strong provider relationships.

  • Operational & Technical Responsibilities:

    • Support business units with network-related insights and align support to strategic goals.

    • Coordinate with IT, compliance, and customer service for operational optimization.

    • Maintain systems and data infrastructure for provider management.

    • Ensure coding standardization in compliance with local regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Essential:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

    • 2–3 years of experience in healthcare network contracting or provider relations.

    • Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models and cost-containment strategies.

    • Proficiency in GCC regulatory service coding standards (e.g., CPT, DRG, eClaims).

    • Skilled in data analysis and analytical tools.

    • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Desirable:

    • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.

    • CPT and ICD coding certifications.
