DHL Global Forwarding, part of the world’s most international logistics company operating across 220+ countries, is looking for a dedicated Health and Safety Supervisor in Dubai. This full-time, on-site role focuses on developing and administering health, safety, and environmental plans to ensure a safe working environment in line with corporate policies and local regulations. The Supervisor will lead initiatives to identify, mitigate, and prevent workplace hazards while fostering a culture of safety awareness. The role requires close collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, to uphold and enhance safety standards across operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environment (HSE) plans and processes to protect employees and workplace conditions.

Ensure compliance with internal and external safety standards and relevant regulations.

Identify potential hazards in workplace environments, equipment, and work practices, and implement corrective measures.

Conduct regular inspections of facilities and grounds, analyze risks, and recommend solutions to reduce injury risks.

Investigate workplace accidents and injuries, draft detailed reports, and develop prevention strategies.

Maintain accurate records of workplace injuries, illnesses, and absences to support regulatory reporting.

Collaborate with engineers, management, and regulatory bodies to investigate accident causes and prevent recurrence.

Support transportation of hazardous materials with appropriate safety solutions.

Coordinate safety orientation, daily inspections, and facility changes to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Develop and deliver training content on safety protocols and promote safety-conscious work behavior.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including community groups and law enforcement.

Continuously improve HSE operations, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with specialist departments, external service providers, and DHL managers to promote safety culture.

Advise and guide line managers and employees on technical and safety matters.

Influence acceptance of new safety concepts and processes.
Management Responsibility:

Individual contributor role with potential to manage up to two employees or oversee safety-related processes and programs.

Provide coaching and review work of junior safety professionals.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/qualification.
-
Over 4 years of relevant experience in workplace safety, occupational health, risk management, or related fields.
Skills:
-
Expertise in Workplace Safety, Risk Assessment, Accident Investigation, Safety Management Systems, and Environmental Awareness.

Proficient in Audit, Inspection, Data Analysis, Business Continuity Management, and Project Management.
-
Strong stakeholder management, influencing, facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.

Knowledge of DHL business processes and strategy is a plus.
