New Century Education is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to lead compliance, safety practices, and risk management across its charter school campuses in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The role is critical to ensuring the well-being of students, staff, and school visitors while maintaining full alignment with UAE regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Health and Safety Management:

• Implement and maintain health and safety policies in accordance with ADEK, ADPHC, and OSHAD-SF.

• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.

• Organize training sessions on emergency and safety procedures.

• Resolve incidents in coordination with school leadership and stakeholders.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation:

• Perform risk assessments across all school campuses.

• Recommend risk mitigation strategies and preventative measures.

• Analyze incidents and trends to reduce future hazards.

Compliance & Regulatory Affairs:

• Manage compliance with ADEK, DoH, CDA, and QCC regulations.

• Ensure accurate reporting via ADPHC’s electronic OSH system.

• Maintain documentation for inspections, audits, and incident investigations.

Training & Awareness:

• Conduct staff/student training in safety, first aid, and emergency drills.

• Promote health education in road safety, mental health, and hygiene.

• Provide induction training for new employees.

Medical Oversight:

• Ensure school clinics meet DoH licensing and safety requirements.

• Supervise health screenings, immunizations, and medication protocols.

• Safeguard confidential medical records per policy.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Health and Safety preferred).

• NEBOSH Certification (Mandatory).

• Training in incident investigation and fire safety.

• Accredited First Aid and Fire Safety qualifications.

• Familiarity with ADPHC’s OSH reporting system.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety management, particularly in risk assessment and regulatory compliance.
