Job Overview

We are seeking a Head Waiter/ess to join our Greek Restaurant team at Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai. You will be responsible for managing a section of the restaurant and ensuring every guest enjoys a flawless dining experience marked by elegance, personalization, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, personalized service in line with Mandarin Oriental’s standards

• Manage your designated restaurant section with professionalism and hospitality

• Guide guests through the menu with in-depth knowledge of Greek dishes and pairings

• Accurately communicate special requests or allergies to the kitchen team

• Operate POS systems efficiently and manage billing procedures

• Consistently upsell food and beverage offerings to enhance guest experience

• Ensure adherence to presentation and service standards

• Collaborate with team members and support other outlets when needed

• Uphold Mandarin Oriental’s Legendary Quality Experiences (LQEs) from arrival to departure

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma required; a hospitality or business-related qualification is preferred

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Senior Waiter or Chef de Rang in a luxury setting

• Strong understanding of POS systems and restaurant operations

• Excellent command of English; additional languages are a plus

• Exceptional communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of Greek cuisine is an added advantage
