Aldar Education is hiring a dynamic and experienced Head of Year (Primary) for Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi for the 2025/26 academic year. Recently rated “Outstanding” by ADEK, the academy is relocating to Saadiyat Island and expanding to Year 7. This role is ideal for educational leaders passionate about academic excellence, student development, and team leadership within the framework of the National Curriculum of England.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Direction & Development:

• Collaborate with Phase Leader to implement and evaluate policies aligned with school vision.

• Monitor performance data and implement strategies to support underachieving students.

• Develop inclusive schemes of work that address diverse learner needs (SEN, G&T, EAL).

Teaching & Learning:

• Ensure curriculum continuity and progression.

• Establish high teaching standards and monitor lesson quality through observations and learning walks.

• Lead curriculum and assessment development aligned with school standards.

Staff Leadership:

• Manage year group team performance and professional development.

• Foster a collaborative, high-performing work culture.

• Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to improve teaching standards.

Resource Management:

• Oversee effective use of year group resources and budgets.

• Maintain a safe, stimulating teaching environment compliant with health and safety guidelines.

Additional Duties:

• Lead at least one after-school activity weekly.

• Participate in year group planning, progress tracking, and communication with parents.

• Collaborate across leadership teams to support operational and academic excellence.

• Take initiative in ongoing professional development and mentoring of team members.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Primary or Early Years Education (or equivalent teaching qualification).

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar leadership role.

• Proven expertise in teaching the National Curriculum of England.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a multicultural environment.

• Leadership skills with a student-centered, empathetic, and professional approach.

• Tech-savvy with the ability to utilize educational technology in teaching.
