Job Summary:
The Head of Technology Programs will take a leadership role in driving the development and execution of cutting-edge propulsion technologies. This role involves guiding a high-performing team, developing technology roadmaps, and ensuring that all projects align with the company’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will oversee the advancement of next-generation propulsion systems that set benchmarks for performance, sustainability, and efficiency, while working closely with cross-functional teams, both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Formation:

Lead the Technology Programs Department, developing a high-performing team aligned with strategic company objectives.

Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and growth.

Technology Roadmap Development & Execution:

Develop and maintain a roadmap for next-generation propulsion technologies.
-
Collaborate with internal teams (PowerTech and EDGE) to define the roadmap and align objectives.

Track progress, ensuring timely execution of initiatives.

Project Portfolio Management:

Manage a portfolio of projects aligned with the technology roadmap.
-
Oversee project plans, budgets, and timelines while ensuring adherence to established processes.

Mitigate risks and ensure project delivery within scope, time, and budget.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with Product and Advanced Manufacturing teams to integrate propulsion technologies into product development.

Coordinate with external research and educational institutions to stay updated on emerging trends.

Engage with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and support for ongoing projects.

Budget & Resource Management:

Prepare and manage the department’s budget to ensure optimal resource allocation.

Monitor the budget and identify opportunities for optimization.

Standards & Technical Disciplines:

Develop and implement technical best practices within the team.

Continuously improve processes to support innovation and deliver high-performance propulsion systems.

Technology & Innovation Leadership:

Lead research and innovation in propulsion technologies (e.g., hybrid propulsion, electric engines, alternative fuels).

Implement processes for continuous technology assessment and integration of disruptive technologies.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:

Communicate with senior leadership, customers, and industry partners to ensure the development of technologies that meet market and customer needs.

Provide regular updates and presentations on progress, risks, and future strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:
-
Educational Background:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (specialization in propulsion systems is preferred).

Advanced certifications or leadership training is a plus.

Experience:

10+ years in propulsion system design, R&D, or technology development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience in managing high-performing teams and leading cross-functional projects.

Strong expertise in advanced propulsion technologies (electric, hybrid, alternative fuels).

Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.

Proficiency in project management, including budget management, risk assessment, and scheduling.

Expertise in propulsion systems engineering, with a deep understanding of system integration and performance optimization.

Experience with advanced design and simulation tools (e.g., CFD, FEA, CAD).

Desirable Skills:
