Job Overview:
BeGood.Health is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of R&D and Innovation (Nutraceuticals) to lead the formulation and product development of the company’s first wave of nutritional powders, functional blends, and supplement formats. This leadership role involves driving strategy, building a robust R&D foundation, and creating innovative, compliant, and efficacious nutraceutical products from concept to scale.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy & Vision

• Own and lead the formulations vertical from roadmap to execution.

• Build a forward-thinking product pipeline aligned with company growth and innovation goals.

2. Formulation & Product Development

• Research, design, and prototype clean-label nutritional products including powders, capsules, RTDs, and mixes.

• Select and source bioavailable, synergistic, and high-quality ingredients.

• Drive innovation in formulation science focused on efficacy, safety, and long-term adherence.

3. Integrating East & West

• Blend traditional wellness practices (Ayurveda, TCM) with modern clinical science.

• Partner with scientific advisors to validate safety and performance benchmarks.

4. Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with UAE, GCC, and international standards (GMP, HACCP, Halal, FSSAI, FDA, clean-label).

• Oversee product testing, stability studies, and documentation to prepare for large-scale manufacturing.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with founders, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to translate prototypes into market-ready products.

• Collaborate with marketing, customer experience, and education teams to communicate scientific insights clearly to consumers.

6. Leadership & Culture Building

• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing R&D team and network of external partners.

• Foster a culture of scientific rigor, creativity, and curiosity aimed at making preventive health mainstream.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s or PhD in Nutraceuticals, Food Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or related fields.

• 15+ years of experience in nutraceutical or supplement formulation, with at least 5 years in leadership.

• Proven expertise in developing clinically validated, evidence-backed wellness or performance products.

• Strong understanding of ingredient synergy, bioavailability, and delivery systems.

• Deep commitment to clean-label, transparent, and traceable product design.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, startup environments.

• Familiarity with UAE/GCC regulatory frameworks and product registration standards.
