RTC1 Recruitment Services is hiring on behalf of a global leader in Islamic banking, operating across the MENA region and headquartered in Abu Dhabi. The organization is seeking a highly experienced Head of Compliance to lead the compliance framework of the bank. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for a senior compliance professional with a strong background in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), banking operations, and regulatory risk management.

The successful candidate will ensure the organization remains compliant with UAE Federal laws and Central Bank of UAE (CBUAE) regulations while managing AML risks across all business units and subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the bank’s overall compliance framework, with an emphasis on AML risk management.

• Ensure adherence to all UAE Federal laws, Central Bank of UAE regulations, and relevant international compliance standards.

• Monitor, assess, and control AML-related risks across various business units and subsidiaries.

• Serve as a key liaison for communication and coordination with the Central Bank of UAE, government agencies, and correspondent banks regarding AML activities and investigations.

• Provide strategic direction and oversight on compliance issues and regulatory updates.

• Oversee development and implementation of internal compliance policies and training programs.

• Ensure that all business units operate within the legal and regulatory framework through continuous audits and evaluations.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Commerce, or a related field.

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in the banking or financial services industry.

• Proven leadership in compliance and deep knowledge of banking operations and regulatory compliance.

• Professional certifications such as ACAMS, ACA, ACIB/CAIB, or equivalent are mandatory.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and regulators.

• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
