Job Title: Head of ACE Retail Operations

Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of ACE Retail Operations to lead the strategic and operational development of ACE’s retail presence, both online and offline. This leadership role focuses on driving profitable growth, enhancing customer service, optimizing team performance, and aligning with Al-Futtaim Group’s core values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operating Results & Business Performance

  • Drive turnover, gross margin, net profit, and ROI in line with budgeted targets.

  • Implement range reviews and ensure product availability aligns with customer demand.

  • Oversee accurate inventory management and distribution efficiency.

2. Strategic Planning & Business Development

  • Develop short, medium, and long-term growth strategies aligned with ACE’s objectives and market opportunities.

  • Lead the growth of the e-commerce platform while collaborating with store operations.

  • Identify and act on new opportunities in both B2B and B2C markets across the GCC region.

3. People Management & Talent Development

  • Lead by example, providing feedback, support, and recognition to motivate teams.

  • Ensure clear KPIs, succession planning, and robust recruitment in collaboration with HR.

  • Foster a high-performance, team-oriented culture that aligns with AF values.

4. Monitoring, Control & Compliance

  • Conduct monthly reviews of financial and operational performance.

  • Ensure cost control, policy adherence, and timely action on deviations.

  • Utilize data to drive performance improvements and process efficiency.

5. Principal & Vendor Relationship Management

  • Maintain regular high-level engagement with ACE brand principals.

  • Uphold brand exclusivity and integrity by introducing unique product lines.

  • Promote ACE as a market leader through quality vendor relationships.

6. Innovation & Exclusivity

  • Drive continuous product innovation by sourcing exclusive product ranges via global trade fairs.

  • Ensure ACE retains unique offerings that differentiate it in the market.

7. Technology & MIS (SAP)

  • Leverage technology, especially SAP, for effective inventory, customer service, and sales management.

  • Collaborate with the IT team to deploy tools that increase productivity and efficiency across departments.

Skills & Competencies Required:

  • Proven leadership and team management abilities

  • Strong commercial acumen and a result-driven mindset

  • Extensive experience in retail operations and strategic planning

  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP systems

  • Ability to manage multiple teams and foster interdepartmental collaboration

  • E-commerce and omnichannel experience highly preferred

  • Home improvement industry experience is a must

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in retail management

  • Track record of growing online and offline retail performance

  • Experience in the GCC market is preferred
