Masdar, the UAE’s clean energy champion and a global leader in renewable energy and green hydrogen, is seeking a Head of Communications to lead the strategy and execution of communications for the Zayed Sustainability Prize (ZSP). This role is critical in enhancing the brand’s global reputation and driving engagement across key markets in line with Masdar’s mission to promote sustainability and clean energy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement ZSP’s annual communication strategy, KPIs, and reporting frameworks

• Lead global communications initiatives including media relations, thought leadership, digital engagement, and crisis communications

• Direct content creation across various platforms, including social media, press releases, speeches, newsletters, and web series

• Oversee event-specific communications and strategic campaign rollouts to enhance ZSP’s presence

• Manage external PR agencies, optimize ROI of campaigns, and oversee performance metrics

• Provide high-level executive communication support to senior leadership

• Monitor media trends, manage media inquiries, and develop strong media relationships

• Lead digital transformation efforts across ZSP’s website and social channels to boost visibility and follower engagement

• Develop and implement social media strategies to maximize impressions and registrations for campaigns

• Maintain readiness of the organization’s crisis communication plan for potential global or regional events

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in senior-level corporate communications roles within large, reputable organizations

• Proven track record in managing multifunctional communications teams and leading impactful campaigns

• Deep understanding of UAE’s communication regulations and sustainability ecosystem

• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills

• Strong knowledge of sustainability trends and digital marketing best practices

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Ability to manage multiple projects with exceptional time management and attention to detail
