ENGIE Middle East is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Helper to join their team at the Lafarge Emirates Cement Plant in Fujairah. This full-time, on-site role involves providing essential support to plant operations and maintenance teams to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning. The General Helper will assist in cleaning, material handling, and supporting technical staff with various maintenance activities. The role requires physical stamina, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to work in both indoor and outdoor industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams with basic tasks and maintenance activities

• Regularly clean work areas, machinery, walkways, and equipment to maintain a safe and tidy environment

• Handle and transport tools, equipment, and materials as directed

• Support plant shutdown and start-up preparations including scaffolding, insulation removal, and dismantling

• Perform manual tasks such as lifting, loading/unloading, sweeping, and scrapping

• Report safety hazards, equipment issues, or any unusual conditions promptly to supervisors

• Follow all site safety protocols including PPE use and safe work procedures

• Assist in lubrication, painting, insulation, and cleaning of mechanical systems when trained

• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Prior experience in industrial or plant environments is advantageous

• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor under varying conditions, including heat

• Basic knowledge of safety rules and a willingness to learn technical procedures
