ACCEL Human Resource Consultants is hiring on behalf of a reputable retail company in Dubai for the role of General Accountant. This is a full-time, on-site position for a detail-oriented and experienced professional with a strong grasp of accounting principles and financial management in the UAE market.

As a General Accountant, you will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, particularly VAT in the UAE. The successful candidate should be self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records and general ledger entries

• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and journal entries

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable

• Reconcile bank statements and oversee cash flow

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and regulations

• Support external audits and internal financial reviews

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 3–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE (mandatory)

• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Only candidates currently residing in the UAE will be considered
