Position Overview:
We are seeking a General Accountant (GL Accountant) to join a leading FMCG importer and exporter of fresh fruits and vegetables in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the reconciliation of accounts, payroll entries, utility payments, and enhancing ERP system usage to streamline processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 5 years of experience in the FMCG sector and a strong background in general ledger accounting.
Key Responsibilities:

Staff Reconciliation:
Perform monthly reconciliation of staff numbers in the system versus actual records. -
Payroll Entries:
Prepare monthly payroll entries with appropriate division, department, and employee codes for financial manager approval. Provide summary reports and reconciliations for review. -
Utility Payments Management:
Ensure timely payment of utility bills, including water, electricity, telecommunications, and Salik replenishments. Prepare monthly consumption analyses to highlight any abnormal spending or overcharges. -
ERP System Management:
Enhance ERP system knowledge and become the superuser for the Finance Module, minimizing manual processes and improving efficiency. -
General Ledger & Closing Process:
Assist in period-end closing and reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Qualifications & Experience:
Mandatory:

Male, 40 years old and below.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred).

At least 5 years of UAE experience in the FMCG industry, specifically in General Ledger accounting.

Strong proficiency in EXCEL, SAP, ORACLE, and IFRS.

Experience with reconciliations and the period-end closing process.
Salary & Benefits:

Salary: AED 4,000 to 7,000 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances).
