• Zayed University invites applications for the position of Full-Time Instructor in Emirates Studies within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (Department of Arabic, Islamic, and Legal Studies) at the Abu Dhabi campus. This role is dedicated to delivering Emirates Studies courses in Arabic within the general education program and contributing to academic development through research, curricular innovation, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate Emirates Studies courses in Arabic (English proficiency a plus).

• Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.

• Engage in scholarly research and publish within the relevant field.

• Assist with the implementation of Islamic Studies programs and interdisciplinary teaching.

• Integrate digital and web-based tools in teaching.

• Participate in academic service and university activities.

• Contribute to the growth of the department’s research and teaching profile.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of an M.Sc. in a relevant discipline (Arabic, Islamic Studies, Legal Studies, Sociology, History, or related fields).

• UAE Nationals only.

• Strong record of undergraduate and/or graduate teaching.

• Experience or familiarity with the U.S. general education model preferred.

• Demonstrated curricular innovation and academic service.

• Experience teaching both native and non-native Arabic speakers.

• Experience with graduate programs is an advantage.

• Ability to contribute to the university’s research goals.
