GDB Interior is currently seeking a creative and detail-oriented Freelance Interior Designer to collaborate on various interior projects. This is a freelance, project-based opportunity with the flexibility to work remotely or on-site in Abu Dhabi depending on the project scope. The ideal candidate should bring a strong design portfolio, technical skills, and the ability to turn client visions into beautiful, functional spaces.

The Interior Designer will work closely with clients to understand their needs, create concept boards and 3D visualizations, prepare technical drawings, and manage the design execution process from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients to understand design preferences, budgets, and project timelines

• Develop conceptual designs, mood boards, and 3D visual presentations

• Create detailed design drawings, floor plans, and specifications using tools like AutoCAD and SketchUp

• Select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting that align with the client’s vision

• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely execution

• Conduct site visits and oversee project implementation

• Ensure all designs comply with safety standards and local building codes

• Provide revisions and updates based on client feedback throughout the project lifecycle

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related field (preferred)

• Proven experience as a freelance or independent interior designer

• Strong portfolio showcasing design creativity and project execution

• Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Photoshop, and MS Office

• Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills

• Ability to work independently on multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of modern design trends and sustainable design practices is an advantage
