Job Title: Freelance Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a Certified Electrical Engineer to join us on a freelance or part-time basis for electrical design and low-current systems projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all designs and systems comply with UAE authority standards (DEWA, SEWA, FEWA, SIRA). You will be working on various projects that involve electrical design, system analysis, and compliance with the relevant electrical codes and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Electrical Design & Approvals
  Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and Shop Drawings for authority approvals, ensuring compliance with local regulations.

• System Load Calculations
  Calculate electrical loads and perform system analyses for optimal performance and efficiency.

• Coordination with Authorities
  Obtain NOCs (No Objection Certificates) from relevant authorities such as DEWA, SEWA, FEWA, and SIRA.

• On-Site Implementation Support
  Provide support for on-site implementation, and conduct technical inspections and assessments as required.

• Authority Inspections
  Attend authority inspections and liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all standards.

• Technical Consultancy
  Provide technical consultancy, submit regular progress reports, and recommend necessary adjustments based on assessments.

• Design Planning
  Develop systematic designs for electrical systems and machines, ensuring effective performance and operational efficiency.

• Specification Development
  Create clear, concise specification sheets to assist the company’s purchasing department in acquiring required components.

• Data Analysis & Reporting
  Gather relevant data from reliable sources to assist top-level management in making informed decisions related to electrical projects.

• Maintenance & Modifications
  Audit and suggest modifications to inspection and maintenance tasks as per project requirements.

• Vendor & Project Management Communication
  Collaborate with third-party vendors and project managers to determine relevant electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.

• New Equipment Assessment
  Provide accurate assessments to the management regarding the need for new electrical equipment, ensuring timely upgrades.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Freelance License or Self-Sponsorship (Golden Visa preferred).

• Official Registration with DEWA, SEWA, or SIRA (mandatory).

• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in electrical and low-current systems projects.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required) and Revit MEP (preferred).

• Full understanding of UAE electrical codes and authority standards.

• Fluency in English, with Arabic proficiency being a plus.

• Immediate availability for part-time freelance engagement.

• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage various project aspects and report effectively to management.

• Solid knowledge of electrical engineering software and safety codes to deliver high-quality designs and solutions.

• Formal technical education in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
