🎯 Job Purpose

As a Fire Fighting Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of various fire protection systems, including fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, fire alarms, fire pumps, and suppression systems. You will ensure compliance with local and national fire safety codes and regulations, maintaining the highest standards of safety.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Maintenance: Install and maintain fire suppression systems (sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, extinguishers).

• Inspection & Testing: Regularly inspect and test fire alarm systems and fire protection devices to ensure they are operational.

• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair faults in fire detection and suppression systems.

• Routine Maintenance: Perform maintenance on fire pumps and related piping systems.

• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

• Compliance: Ensure fire safety equipment is compliant with UAE Civil Defense regulations and other applicable safety codes.

• Emergency Response: Respond to emergency calls involving faults in fire protection systems.

• Collaboration: Work closely with safety officers and building maintenance teams to ensure fire safety compliance.

🎓 Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. ITI or diploma in electrical/mechanical fields is preferred.

• Certifications: Firefighting system training or certification (e.g., NFPA, Civil Defense approved training).

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems, such as FM-200, CO2, water sprinklers, and foam systems.

• Skills:

  • Knowledge of fire safety codes and Civil Defense regulations.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
