Role Overview
The Financial Reporting & Management Insights Specialist will take full ownership of the month-end close and management reporting process. This role is critical in ensuring financial information is accurate, timely, standardized, and decision-ready, enabling leadership to monitor performance and make informed business decisions without delay.
The position is designed to streamline reporting workflows, remove bottlenecks, and enhance the overall quality, consistency, and reliability of financial insights across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Month-End Close & Reporting Ownership

Lead and manage the complete month-end close cycle, from pre-close validations to final report delivery

Prepare and present monthly management reports, including:

Profit & Loss statements
-
Balance Sheets
-
Cash flow summaries
-
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable aging
-
Key financial and operational KPIs
-

Ensure all reports are delivered within agreed timelines with minimal post-close adjustments
-
Coordinate closely with AP, AR, and the Senior Accountant to ensure data accuracy and completeness
2. Financial Analysis & Management Commentary

Conduct variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods
-
Provide clear, concise explanations for significant movements and trends
-
Identify risks, inconsistencies, and unusual transactions
-
Support the Finance Manager with actionable insights rather than raw data
3. Data Validation & Reconciliations
-
Review general ledger balances before reporting
-
Perform and review key balance sheet reconciliations
-
Ensure consistency across ERP systems, CRM data, and reporting tools
-
Proactively identify data integrity issues and recommend corrective actions
4. Reporting Standards & Process Improvement

Develop, maintain, and enhance standardized reporting templates

Document reporting methodologies, assumptions, and definitions
-
Improve efficiency of the reporting cycle through automation and improved structure

Support continuous improvement of month-end close and reporting processes
5. Cross-Functional & Backup Support

Act as a flexible reporting resource to support the accounting team during peak periods or absences

Collaborate with the Senior Accountant on complex accounting or reporting matters
-
Assist with audits, management reviews, and compliance-related reporting as required
Requirements
Education & Technical Skills
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
-
Strong understanding of financial statements and reporting standards
-
Advanced Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)

Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems and data extraction

Solid knowledge of month-end close processes
-
Experience with BI and analytics tools such as Zoho Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, or similar

Ability to understand data models, reporting logic, and dashboard structures

Experience converting operational data into meaningful management insights
Experience

3–5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or management reporting

Prior exposure to variance analysis and performance reporting
-
Accounting background is a strong advantage
