The Faculty member in Business – Accounting will contribute significantly to the development, delivery, and continual enhancement of HCT’s Accounting curriculum, ensuring alignment with international standards and industry needs.
Beyond teaching, the role emphasizes research, curriculum development, assessment, and engagement in both academic and extracurricular activities within the college and broader community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching in Accounting in an applied, student-centric learning environment.

• Contribute to curriculum design, development, and accreditation processes.

• Conduct research activities that inform teaching and advance the faculty’s research objectives.

• Promote analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students.

• Assist in policy development and implementation at the system and directorate levels.

• Actively engage in academic, extracurricular, and community activities.

Requirements:

• Education:

  • Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Accounting (or a closely related discipline).

  • Professional certification related to Accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) preferred.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of combined teaching and industry experience.

  • Relevant industry experience is highly valued (preferably at least 5 years).

  • Experience in course curriculum development following international accreditation standards.
