Job Title: Fabric Warehouse Caretaker & Inventory Coordinator

Job Description:
We are currently hiring a Warehouse Caretaker & Inventory Coordinator to manage the operations of our fabric goods warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling goods receiving and dispatching, cutting fabric as needed, and maintaining accurate inventory using barcode systems and Excel. This role requires a reliable, organized individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving & Dispatching: Oversee the receipt and dispatch of fabric materials with proper documentation and accuracy.

• Warehouse Upkeep: Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and secure at all times.

• Inventory Tracking: Maintain precise inventory levels using barcode scanning systems and Excel spreadsheets.

• Barcode System Use: Scan, tag, and track all fabric goods systematically for easy traceability.

• Stock Arrangement: Organize and store fabrics for maximum space efficiency and ease of access.

• Quality Control: Conduct basic quality checks to identify any damaged or incorrect items.

• Communication: Coordinate with logistics teams, internal departments, and delivery personnel.

• Reporting: Maintain daily warehouse logs and generate weekly inventory and stock reports.

• Fabric Cutting: Cut fabric to specified measurements as required (training provided if necessary).

• Safety Compliance: Follow all warehouse safety standards and report any hazards promptly.

Candidate Requirements:

• Prior experience in a warehouse or fabric-related storekeeping role is an advantage

• Physically fit to handle manual tasks including loading/unloading

• Basic experience or willingness to learn fabric cutting techniques

• Familiarity with barcode inventory management systems

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and inventory tracking

• Reliable, honest, and able to work with minimal supervision

• Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills
