Expansion Manager – Middle East
Tether.io Dubai , UAE

Tether.io is seeking a highly driven Expansion Manager – Middle East to drive the company’s growth and presence in the UAE. This role will focus on business development, identifying new opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and navigating the regulatory landscape in the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market expansion, business development, and partnership management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Partnerships: Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities in the UAE and surrounding region. Build and manage relationships with partners, customers, and stakeholders, and develop strategic partnerships with financial institutions, fintech firms, and government entities.

  • Market Strategy & Execution: Design and implement go-to-market strategies for expanding Tether’s products and services. Track and analyze KPIs to optimize market strategies.

  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, threats, and opportunities. Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business.

  • Stakeholder & Government Engagement: Manage relationships with regulators, government agencies, and industry bodies, and represent Tether at key meetings and industry events.

  • Marketing & Community Engagement: Support participation in fintech, blockchain, and digital assets events to enhance Tether’s brand visibility.

  • Investment & Venture Growth: Identify and evaluate strategic investment opportunities that align with Tether’s mission, supporting the growth of Tether’s ecosystem and its partners in local markets.

Required Skills to Be Successful:

  • A degree in Business, Management, or Finance (MBA preferred).

  • 7-10 years of experience in cross-border settlements, mobile money, and payment infrastructures. Telecom or banking experience is a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills, KPI setting, and monitoring.

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

  • Proven success in building and managing strategic partnerships.

  • Deep knowledge of the UAE market, including blockchain, fintech, digital assets, remittances, and payments regulations.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Comfortable with international travel and working remotely.
