The World Bank is hiring a full-time ET Consultant for its Abu Dhabi office under a 1-year local recruitment contract. This role involves managing the Reimbursable Advisory Services (RAS) portfolio for the UAE and supporting strategic partnerships, operations, and country-level reporting. The position sits within the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region, which provides critical support for sustainable development and capacity building in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor RAS program implementation, budget tracking, and client billing for the UAE portfolio

Support project teams with portfolio analysis, client coordination, and consistency of deliverables

Assist in drafting reports, country briefs, strategic updates, and support incoming World Bank missions

Coordinate closely with government agencies and stakeholders to implement RAS projects
-
Participate in operational meetings, provide research support, and ensure alignment with the World Bank’s strategic objectives
-
Maintain data accuracy, oversee budget planning, track expenditures, and produce financial reports

Travel within GCC may be required for key project engagements
Requirements:

Master’s degree in economics, business, project management, international development, or related field

Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience

Strong data management, policy analysis, and program coordination skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in cross-functional teams
-
Fluency in both English and Arabic is essential

Knowledge of UAE political economy and public institutions is highly preferred
