Role Overview
Egis is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Estimator to join its Head Office in Dubai. This role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and compliant cost estimates for major civil infrastructure projects, with a primary focus on roadworks and utilities. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience in UAE infrastructure tenders, particularly RTA projects, and will work closely with engineering, procurement, and commercial teams to support successful bid submissions.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for civil infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, drainage, and associated works.

Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and RTA standards to identify project scope, risks, and cost drivers.

Perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis using approved estimation tools and methodologies.

Source, evaluate, and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure technical compliance and cost competitiveness.

Coordinate with design, planning, procurement, and commercial teams throughout the tender preparation process.

Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and clarification sessions with clients and relevant authorities.

Develop value engineering options, cost comparisons, and appropriate risk allowances where required.

Support post-tender clarifications, negotiations, and smooth handover to project execution teams.

Maintain and update cost databases, benchmarks, and lessons learned to support future tenders.
Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Estimator on civil infrastructure projects within the UAE.

Strong hands-on experience in roadworks and/or utilities estimation for RTA projects (mandatory).

In-depth knowledge of RTA standards, specifications, and tendering procedures.

Proficiency in estimation software, MS Excel, and quantity take-off tools.

Strong analytical, numerical, and attention-to-detail skills.

Ability to manage multiple tenders and perform under tight deadlines.

Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
